Ralph Henry Albers, 91, of Manassas, passed away July 1, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Born November 14, 1922 in Kentucky, he was the son of Oswald and Marie Feldman Albers. On November 21, 1947, he married the former Birdie D. Cundiff, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Albers proudly served as a radio officer for the United States Merchant Marines during WWII, and for close to 20 years, he worked for GE in many capacities, before retiring as the Vice- President of Government Mobile Communication Sales. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of MENSA, the James Smithson Society, and was a volunteer at the S.S. John W. Brown Project Liberty Ship and the Franconia Senior Center.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Albers. Survivors include his three children, Rhonda .Roni. Campbell and her husband Reg of Manassas; Dave Albers and his wife Ellie of Alexandria; Mark Albers and his wife Judy of Rockingham, NC; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Private interment will take place at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, under the direction of Michael Post.
