Dwight Baker died quietly at home on Saturday, January 15th. He had been hospitalized with stroke symptoms, and later transferred to a care facility. His care was very good, but both Dwight and family wanted to have him at home. VNA Hospice made this possible, along with daily private care by Tashauna Stansbury, CNA. During College, while he was taking "extra courses" at the University of Miami, Dwight met his future wife, Helen, through mutual friends. They were married for 63 years and lived in Vero Beach for nearly 60 years. He was a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) who enjoyed his work and his clients. A licensed amateur radio operator, call letters W4IJY, Dwight was an active member of the Vero Beach Amateur Radio Club. Dwight is survived by his wife Helen, daughter Margaret Baker of Portland, OR, son David Baker (Brenda) of Vero Beach, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
