Professional Musician AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Francis (Frank) Fielder Simpson entered into rest Saturday, April 19, 2003, at University Hospital. A graveside service will be held Tuesday (today), April 22, 2003, at 3 p.m. at Westover Memorial Park. Mr. Simpson was brought up in a musical family, later to become a professional musician. Mr. Simpson was a jazz pianist with the Dorsey Bands and lived in New York during some of his adult life. He played string bass with the Augusta Civic Orchestra and was a member of the Augusta Concert Band, Augusta Radio Club, Augusta Chess Club and St. Mary On The Hill Catholic Church.
