Frank A. Jenne FLORENCE - Frank A. Jenne was born in Waukegan, Illinois, on June 13, 1924, the son of the late Clarence A. Jenne and Retta Wood Jenne. He was a veteran of World War II and served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard - Merchant Marines. He was Technical Director of Radio Station WJMX 1947 - 1984, and Supervisor of SC ETV Station WJPM 1967 - 1988, before he retired. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Church's 50-Year Club, the Roy Graham Fellowship Sunday School Class, life member of Optimist International, past president of the Florence Optimist Club, charter member of the Friendly Gourmet Club, and a Charter-Life member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Mae Ridgeway Jenne; two daughters, Mrs. Retta (Kim) Turbeville of Lake City and Mrs. Ruth (Willard) Dorriety of Florence; grandchildren, Mrs. Amanda T. (Eric) Taylor and Mrs. Kelly T. (Marcus) Tomlinson, both of Columbia, Mr. Jason W. (Ann) Dorriety of Gray, GA, and Miss Jessica Dorriety of Florence; and one great-granddaughter, Miss Jenne Taylor of Columbia. |
