Donald E. Rose, 84, died January 23, in Florida.
He was born December 10, 1920 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Virgil and Grace Rose of Xenia. Don grew up in Xenia.
Since retiring from the Air Force he lived in Casselberry FL.
Rose was an Air Force Veteran serving for 22 years, during World War II and the Korean War, achieving the final rank of Major. He received numerous awards, including the distinguished Flying Cross.
He was a member of the World War II Glider Pilots Association and the Amateur Radio Association "Ham" using the handle, W4KTV.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Brant and Bruce Rose; a daughter, Patricia R. Smith; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Joyce Bergum; and a brother, Larry Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Gerry.
Burial was in bushnell VA cemetery in Bushnell, FL with full military honors.
