Robert Roy (Bob) Leach Jr., 99, passed away Sunday evening, June 23, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was a native of New Haven, CT. and long-time resident of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Roy and Alice Friend Leach and brother Arthur Russell Leach. He is survived by his niece Rev. Carol Ann Leach Civils and husband Charles David Civils, grand-nieces Leigh Dana and Melanie Brooke Civils, and great-grand-niece Caroline Reed Civils. He is also survived by long-time friend and companion Sandra McGarrahan, and sister-in-law Mary Leach.
He loved people and music. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Office of Strategic Services during the Italian campaign.
Services with full military honors will be conducted at Port Hudson National Cemetery on Friday June, 28, at 10:30 AM. Mr. Leach was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
