Hello I am W4PRE, former calls are WW4PM and WD4KTG (1977), thank you for looking me up in QRZ. I live in Ooltewah, TN; 15 miles NE of Chattanooga, TN. My interests include home brew antenna building, home brew HF amps, working local VHF and UHF stations. I am a manufacturing engineer in the metalworking industry and have been using CAD, CNC Programs, and PLC since the late 70's. Antennas:
Home brew 2 element boomless quad beam for 20, 17, 15, 12, 10 Meters at 40 feet Rohn 25 tower with Yaesu G-800 SA rotor.
160M Full wave loop at 60 to 70 feet; 9 natural support points (white oak trees); total 540 feet long feed with128' 450 ohm balanced line and using a DX Engineering 4:1 balun. Use the 160M loop on 160M thru 10M.
Wide spaced fan dipole with elements for 160M, 80M, 60M, and 40M at 50 feet in an Inverted Vee configuration.
Cubex King Bee III quad beam = 4 elements on 6 meters, 8 elements on 2 meters, and 8 elements on 440 MHz at 55 feet tilt over tower and Ham IV rotor.
