Mr. Leo Sherwood, age 96, passed away at Paris Health Care on November 7, 2012.
Long time employee with Carter's Sales and Service, he later ran a repair shop for depth finders and trolling motors. He was also a photographer, pilot, amateur radio operator, fisherman and hunter.
Born in Mixie, TN on 4/15/1916, he was the son of Levi and Pearl Lowry Sherwood.
His wife, Donna Rogers Sherwood, preceded him in death in 2008. They were married on July 13, 1939. He leaves two daughters, Jean (Larry) Benton and Jennifer (Gary) Willoughby, both of Paris.
He also leaves 3 grandchildren, Patty (Dan) Hurst, Knoxville, Tammy (Ed) Williams, Dickson, and Mike (Laura) Benton, Nashville and 2 great grandchildren, Sarah and Josh Hurst.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McEvoy Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 2:00 PM at the Camden City Cemetery. Larry Simmons of First Baptist Church will officiate.
