I am a retired federal supervisor, I worked at the Naval Air Rework Facility in Norfolk Virginia until Brac closed it down in 1996. I moved over to the Naval Air Station and closed out my government career with the Public works Dept. here in Norfolk. I got started in amateur radio in 1980 and received my call sign KA4PLH and I said I would never change, but who can blame me my name came available and I couldn't resist. I have been involved in Boy Scouting since 1949 and received my Eagle in 1954. I have held many positions in scouting but I can say that I am really proud that I have been selected to serve as the ARRL's Asst. Section Manager for Scouting and Youth for the state of Virginia. I have one son who is a licensed ham and a electronic engineer living in Texas. He is also an Eagle Scout. January 12, 2012 |
