He is survived by his wife, Pauline Tingle Waters; three sons, Brad Waters of Cove City, Fred Waters and Doug Waters, both of New Bern; one daughter, Phyllis Olesek of New Bern; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at Broad Street Christian Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
