William V. Taylor, 86, of Clearwater, Florida died April 4, 2011 peacefully at home with his family.
He was a Navy veteran of WWII serving as Electronic Specialist in the South Pacific in addition to being an instructor of Electronics.
After the war he attended the University of Houston and Arkansas Tech with a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Physics.
Bill was part of a team of pilots that returned missionaries to their posts after WWII traveling to 50 different countries which he wrote about in his book "he Ambassadors". He was an active member of the Episcopal church wherever he lived and served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister.
In his retirement Bill served as a process server for Pinellas County Sheriff' Department and taught applied physics at Eckerd College.
He was married to Mary Lou Hamby in Tampa in 1955. Bill is survived by his 3 children and 10 grandchildren along with his sister-in-law Mildred Taylor of Houston, Texas.
The Memorial Service will be April 16,2011, 11:00 AM at Good Samaritan Church in Clearwater, Florida.
