Age 92 years, and a resident of Algiers, LA. Floyd was a United States Navy Veteran having served during World War II.
He spent his career until retirement as Lieutenant with Jefferson Parish Sherriff's Office and New Orleans Police Department, having supervised the installation of the Jefferson Parish 911 System.
He was also an employee of the IC Railroad.
The family wishes to thank Louisiana Hospice and St. Margaret's at Bellview for their loving care. He will be deeply missed by all.
