Eugene A. "Gene" Jank was born April 18, 1917 in Ander, Texas in Goliad County and passed away on February 12, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas. Gene served proudly in the US Navy and was employed by Southwestern Bell for 43 years. He held amateur radio licenses for 77 years and his call was W5EJT and was member of Shepherd King Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his father Albert and Alfrieda Jank. Gene is survived by his loving wife Ruth Jank of 55 years; daughter, Janine DiVincenti and husband Sal; brother, Edward Jank; nephews, Bill Jank, Phil Jank and wife Sherra; numerous cousins and friends.
SERVICES
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2011, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North followed by a Chapel Service at 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 11:45 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Pastor Kris Hill to officiate the services.
