Lee Forrest, Jr., 91, was born June 7, 1923, in Ozark County, Missouri, to parents Macky&Velvie (Smith) Forrest and passed away July 5, 2014. Lee had a strong love for his country, having served in the Navy and Army before retiring from the Air Force.He spent his life in defense of his country. He received medals for Korean Service, UN Service, National Defense, Good Conduct (with two loops), and many others. Lee was a photographer for the Air Force and the Federal Aviation Administration and did travel videography for Southwest Radio Church. He was also a Mason, Shriner, and a long-time member of the Village Baptist Church. Lee was a loving, dedicated husband and father who was careful in how he raised his three children. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Magon Forrest; and grandson, Gary Bowman. He is survived by his wife of almost 69 years, Reba; daughters, Sandra Sargent&husband A.J. and Deloris Dreistadt; son, Gordon Forrest&wife Cynthia; grandchildren: Steven Sargent, Joseph Sargent, and Stephany McKinney; great-grandchildren: Heyley Bowman, Karla McKinney, Thor Osborne, and Zach Bawcum; and many other family members and friends. |
