J. Newell Royall, 88, of Houston, died June 10, 1994, in Houston.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. at the Cypress Bible Church in Cypress. Graveside services will be 5 p.m. Monday in the Oakwood cemetery, with Rev. Connally Dugger officiating. Services are under the direction of Corley Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 3, 1905, in Taylor Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Ella Frances Roth Royall.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances Royall of Houston; his sister; Beatrice Rittersbacher of Dallas; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Dr. John N. and Martha Royall Jr. of Caldwell, Texas, and Donald R. and Joann Royall of Cypress; five grandsons; four granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
