HUGHES SPRINGS - Neal Wilson Morris, 94, was born July 29, 1920 in Grand Saline, TX and passed away December 2, 2014 at his home in Dallas, TX.
He taught radio for the signal corps in WWII and was an early pioneer in offshore oil exploration. He retired from Texas Instruments where he worked as an electrical engineer.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ellisue Barber Morris; and one son, Neal W. Morris, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Wilda Rutledge Morris; three daughters, Barbera Smith and husband Ronnie Caldwell of Linden, Ellen Morris Day and husband Jimmy of Linden, and Eva Kathryn Watson, of Linden; three step daughters, Linda Rutledge Byrnes and husband Greg of Ft. Worth, Susan Coppedge and husband Dr. John Coppedge of Longview, Annie Gooding and husband Jack of Little Rock; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren.
