George M. Williams died on Monday, May 9, 2005. He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Vernice; children, George 'Mac' Williams, Jr. and wife, Sally; Joyce Carol Borton and husband, Larry; Sharon Kay McDonald and Luanne Grace Retzloff and husband, Paul; grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Megan Williams, Casey Tropp, Clayton Deering, Lauryn Deering, Jason Retzloff, and Shawn Retzloff.
As a life resident of San Antonio, he graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1940 and from Texas A & M in 1944. He was a commissioned officer and member of the Signal Corps during WWII. He participated in the liberation of Europe at the invasion of Omaha Beach.
George was a life member of the Methodist Church, long standing member of the San Antonio Rotary Club and a 50 year member of Perfect Union Lodge No. 10, AF & AM and S.A.R. 'Service above self' in numerous civic organizations. He was founder emeritus of the George Williams & Co.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Porter Loring on McCullough.

Interment in Sunset Memorial Park under the auspices of Perfect Union Lodge No. 10 A.F. & A.M.
