LEVELLAND (Special) - Services for John Robert Bell, 74, of Levelland will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Geo. C. Price Funeral Director Chapel with Willie Mays, associate minister of Austin Street Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Bell died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

He was born June 22, 1923, in Beeville. He moved to Levelland from Odessa in 1965. He married Nina Lee Staley on Jan. 8, 1948, in Lubbock. He was a member of the American Radio Relay League. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran, and he served as a lieutenant in the National Guard. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He retired from El Paso Natural Gas.

Survivors include his wife; a son, a daughter, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
