I like "AM" radio,and operate between 3880 mhz.and 3890 mhz.I only operate after midnight when qrm is at a minimum.The transmitter I use is is home built. It uses a single 833A in the final,modulated with pushpull 4-400's for class AB2 modulation.The modulator is driven with a "Marty"limiter.I use an RCA tube type audio console to drive the limiter.I also use a General Radio Modulation Monitor, and a General Radio Distortion and Noise Analyzer to perform the station Proof of Performnce Checks.The microphone is a dynamic. I also have a number of boat anchors,receivers and transmitters which have been repaired. I also have a sideband setup,using a TS-520 with an FL-2100 linear. I also spend many hours on my computer. 73 from W5NWX.
