Eugene J. 'Gene' Tobaben Allen, TX QCWA # 11183 Chapter 41 |
Eugene Tobaben, 84, of Allen passed away April 12, 2012. Born in Kansas to Alice and Henry Tobaben, he served in the Coast Guard during WWII and married his wife, Vivian, in 1950. Vivian was the love of Gene's life for 60 years.
Gene traveled the globe during his career at TI. He enjoyed photography, fishing, travel, camping, going dancing with Vivian, and amateur ("ham") radio.
Gene is survived by his son, Richard Tobaben and wife Mary Jane; daughter, Margaret Sanders and husband Richard; grandchildren Jim Tobaben and wife Kara, Tiffany Tobaben, Sarah and Whitney Sanders; great-grandchildren Will and Elizabeth Tobaben.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Brinkmeyer, and his beloved wife, Vivian.
Visitation is 6-8 pm Mon April 16 and services are Tues, April 17 at 10 am.
