Henry Betemps, 87, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 11:50 a.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Henry Betemps Jr.; one brother, Louis Betemps; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Tabor Betemps; his parents, Gaberiel Betemps and Henriette Gosson Betemps; and three sons, Leo J. Betemps, Christopher J. Betemps and Robert L. Betemps.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
