My father introduced me to SW radio with a few stories of his short tenure as a ham (9BWD) in St. Louis and taught me to use a Hallicrafters SX-25 which he purchased new in 1939. It was not until 30 years later that I became a ham thanks to the efforts of Bill "Doc" Eichorn WB6KZO (SK). A Yaesu FT-2000D feeds an MA5B Cushcraft for 20 through 10 and a dipole for 40 & 80. The antennas are on top of or hanging from a 40 foot Rohn 25G. I'm also active locally on VHF & UHF frequencies. I am always pleased to QSL and you may do so direct or use LOTW June 15, 2012 |
