Leslie Webb W7BLX, passed away July 5, 2005. He is survived by first son, Michael L. Webb , Michael's wife, Marilyn, and their son, Christopher; his second son, David W. Webb , David's wife, Judy, and their son, Matthew, and Matthew's wife, Marryn, and their son, Mason; and his daughter, Mary Beth Van Dalen, Mary Beth's husband, John, and their daughters, Amy and Paula. His wife, Betty, preceded him in death.
Les was born September 5, 1913, in Everett, and lived his entire life in the area. He graduated from Everett High School and then from Lewis Radio and Electronics, a technical school in Chicago. He retired in 1970, as Superintendent of Communications for the City of Everett.
He was a life-long member of Everett First Baptist Church. He became a Ham radio operator in 1930 and was a very active operator. He was active for many years in the Evergreen Kiwanis and the Everett Retired Fire Fighters Association, plus many other organizations.
The family would like to thank Paulette Phelps and her son, Tommy, for being such kind, thoughtful, tireless caregivers. You helped make Dad's last years very happy.
There will be a graveside service held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2005, at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Everett First Baptist Church.
