Chapter 87
|
|
I was born in Collingswood, NJ, in 1920. When a young Boy Scout, I learned the Morse code and became interested in tinkering with radios. I served in the Boy Scout movement for thirty years.
After serving in the Air force for four years, I returned to civilian life and moved to the Northwest. This is when I again became interested in radio and in 1956, I became a licensed Amateur Radio Operator.
I have been retired from the Veteran's Administration since 1975, serving for 30 years.
I have been active in our local club, (W7DP) and held a lot of positions for the club. I am also a member of the Evergreen Chapter 87. The Northwest seems to be lacking in representat.ion in QCWA. Our hobby is "Communications", and I would like to be part of that communications, serving the many chapters of QCWA in the Northwest.
