Marion Floyd Pedersen, 86, of Longview died Nov. 19, 2008, at the Hospice Care Center. He was born June 16, 1922, in Curtis, Neb., to Walter and Florence (Shultz) Pedersen and attended Nebraska schools. Mr. Pedersen served in the Coast Guard from 1942 to 1945. He was a bus driver for Ocean Beach Stage Lines from 1949 to 1972. He moved to the Longview-Kelso area in 1973, coming from Ocean Park and worked at International Paper until 1985. Mr. Pedersen was ham radio operator W7CXE since 1956, a member of Northwest Country Cousins and bowled in leagues for many years on the Long Beach Peninsula and the Longview-Kelso area. He was a mischievous jokester. He was caring, friendly and loved his family. He married Eunice Wilson Jan. 3, 1944, in Port Angeles, Wash. She preceded him in death in 1992. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded him. He is survived by two sons, Raymond "Dick" Pedersen of Victoria, Texas and Douglas (Mary) Pedersen of Longview; two daughters, Marian (Ron) Martzall of Kelso and Lois (Tim) Wood of West Richland; nine grandchildren, Richard, Shelli, Kristen, Stacey, Todd, Jenny, Jamie, Ryan and Chace; and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Pedersen will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Somerset Retirement Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O.
