Chapter 160

*W7KOP--SK*
*Woody a former member of the Utah Chapter 160 of the QCWA. *
Scouter, ham-radio operator and great-great-grandfather Leonard "Woody" Woodward, of Provo, died Christmas Day. He was 99 years old.
Woodward made local and national news in 2008, when immigration issues kept him apart from his third wife, Doreen Buttery, who couldn't re-enter the country after they honeymooned in her native Canada. (His first wife died in 1986 and his second in 2005.)
Woodward was the nation's oldest active Boy Scout. In February, at a party in Orem celebrating the local council's 100 years of scouting, Woodward
shared memories of collecting merit patch badges in the 1920s.
He worked a lot of 20 meter DX and had a lot of ham history right in his shack.
He brought color, laughter and lots of history where ever he went.
73 Woody and RR on your QRT.
Will send a OBT as soon as I get one.
