Bair, Orville C, 1916 to 1990
Born April 1, 1916 in Gary, Indiana, Orville Bair was a son of Joseph and Myrtle Bair. The 1930 Census shows Orville (age 13) living in Union Township, Hendricks County, Indiana with parents Joseph L. and Myrtle and siblings Clara and Charles. Orville graduated from Lizton High School in 1936. Orville married Esther Juanita Hufford on May 28, 1938 in Indiana. In later life, they resided in Tucson, Arizona.
Survived by wife, Mary Esther; son, John Bair; grandchildren, John D. Bair, USN of Japan, Deana L. Bair of Tucson, Eddie (Suzana) Roberson of CA, Vickie (Gary) Glidwell of NV; four great-grandchildren, Christy and David Glidwell, Ryan and Jessie Roberson; brother, Charles (Gail) Bair of Danville, IN; 14 nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by daughter, Bonnie. Orville was Switchman Foreman in the Tucson Southern Pacific yards, was a longtime member of Amateur Radio Operators and helped in many rescues. Cremation will take place and family requests no flowers. Orville will be sadly missed by family and friends. We will remember him with our prayers. Arrangements by Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery.
