Robert M. Taylor, 79, of Toledo passed away July 1, 2009, at the Toledo Hospital.
He was born June 5, 1930, in Toledo, Ohio to Mitchell and Margaret (Monto) Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was an Electrician in Radio Maintenance for the New York Central, Penn Central, Conrail and the C&O Railroads retiring in 1989.
Mr. Taylor was a 50-year member of Paragon Masonic Lodge No. 788 F & A.M.
Robert served in the US Navy and was a member of the Quarter Century Wireless Association for more than 30 years.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie R. Taylor in February of 2008; stepdaughter, Linda A Williamson, brother, Donald Taylor.
Surviving are his son, Robert E. Taylor (Gertrude); daughters, Diane (Rolland) Beck, Mary Beth (Peter) Lawless; son, Steven R. Taylor; step-daughters, Joan (Bill) Hanner, Kathy (Jeff) Steers; brother, Richard (Loralee) Taylor; sisters, Mary Ellen Taylor Neiss, Alice Jean (Bill) Kendrick, Margaret Cheryl Taylor, Joyce Sundling and many grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. at Byrne Rd. Sunday, July 5, 2-8 p.m. with Paragon Masonic No. 788 F & A.M. lodge services at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, at 10:30 a.m.
Entombment Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
