On November 3, 1951 Wallace married the love of his life Marjorie Longwinter at The Armored Center Chapel, Fort Knox KY. Wallace was an Army Veteran holding the rank of Sargent, serving in post-war Japan as a sound technician at the Tokyo War Crimes Trials. He was an Honorary Life Member of American Legion Post 0459, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Wally's primary employment was at CGR Medical Corporation, installing and maintaining radiology equipment at medical facilities throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. For fun, he was an amateur radio operator and enjoyed two-way conversations with other Hams from all over the world that had earned their radio license from the FCC after passing an examination on radio theory and operation.
