Worked all states over 150 countries. Don't collect certificates only for my own satisfaction. Work 2 meters thru 160 meters. Built many antennas. In 1950 met my wife Eleanor and we both retired in 1980. Eleanor was a executive secretary with a realty mortgage company. I retired from Lansing Board Of Lights as machinest after 29 years. My entire career was a machinest. Enjoy rag chewing and talking to friends each day. Have a Kenwood 430s and a Yaesu FT767GX. Also Yaesu 2 meter rig. Still go to Hamfests manly to see friends. ARRL and QCWA life member. Age 91 years. First licensed in 1950, Currin joined QCWA Michigan Chapter 10 in 1975 and faithfully served this chapter in various capacities, including Secretary/Treasurer, having "retired" from that post in 2003. He was very active in all QCWA activities, was an exemplary Amateur Radio Operator, a "gentle giant", who loved and faithfully served his Lord, Family, and many friends. He will be deeply missed by all of us. (At this writing, details of his memorial service are incomplete. Arrangements are being handled by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home of Lansing, MI.)
