Charles J. Sr., passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 6 at home. He was a graduate of Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy. As a retired industrial engineer he built riverboat models and was published in R/C Boat Modeler Magazine. Beloved husband for 54 years of Frances M. (nee O'Donnell) Wires. Loving father of Peg Bogle, C.J. Wires Jr., Karen W. Stroude, Gary Wires and Christine Dworak. Dear grandfather of ten grandchildren. Brother of R. Donald Wires and the late William Wires and Dorothy Wires.
Also survived by sister-in-law Helen Wires and two nieces.
Calling will be Tuesday, December 9 from 6-9 P.M. and Wednesday, December 10 at 12 noon at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 10 at 1 P.M. at the Church of the Assumption, 7711 Joseph St., Mt. Healthy. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, 11117 Kenwood Rd., Cincinnati, OH. 45242 will be appreciated.
