Charles M. Dunlap, 89, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Tuesday May 5, 2015 at his home. Charles Monroe Dunlap Jr. was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 5, 1925 the son of the late Charles M. and Amelia (Donop) Dunlap Sr. He graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1943 and then attended Princeton University. He was a Veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater. On August 11, 1951 in Niagara Falls he was united in marriage to the former Mary DiLaura; she preceded him in death on April 3, 2013. Chuck was ham radio operator W8LQ (EXW2WOE) since 1941. He was a member of the Lakes Area Radio Club.
Chuck is survived by: 3 children; Sue (Gene) Bulla of Lake Geneva, WI, Daniel (Karen) Dunlap if Bear, DE, and Robert (Millie) Dunlap of Newark DE, 3 grandchildren Christopher Bulla, Kelly Bulla and Molly Dunlap, a step great-grandson Greg Moorehead, and a sister Janette Dunlap of Niagara Falls, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Rick.
A Celebration of Chuck.s life will be held on Saturday May 23, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lake Geneva. The Dunlap family will receive visitors Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
