Interment is set for Monday, March 3, 2014, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home. Baumgardner was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Dallas, to Edith Cory Winchester and Ray Baumgardner and died Feb. 25, 2014, in Wills Point. He served in the U.S. Navy from Aug. 24, 1942 to Nov. 20, 1945. He was a former employee of Dallas Times Herald, TWA, KC, MO and Braniff Airways. He was a freight agent at Johnson Motor Freight, Hyde Appliance, Fort Worth and Lone Star Gas from 1947-68. He also worked in the florist industry as a traveling salesperson for American Floral Service 1970-76. He owned Capt'n B Florist in Gun Barrel Ctiy from 1980-99. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Willie Lee Baumgardner, former wife Norma Reinert Baumgardner, and brothers Richard and Robert Baumgardner.
