Daniel T. Davis, Sr. East Lansing Age 68, died Sunday, January 16, 2011. Daniel was born February 4, 1942 in Cole Twp, PA. He married his love, Barbara, in 1965 and spent 45 years of marriage together.
Daniel served in the US Air Force for 20 years, retiring as Capt. He served on the Faculty of Notre Dame and Michigan State University. He recently retired from MSU, where he taught in the School of Journalism for 30 years. Daniel was an avid Amateur HAM Radio enthusiast (W8LUX). He served on his church's council for numerous years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel W., mother, Mary Davis-Evans and stepfather, Robert Evans. Surviving are his wife ,Barbara; children, Daniel T. Davis, Jr. of CO, Jennifer (Kenneth) Perrin of St. Johns and Madeline (Michael) Nash of Lansing; grandchildren, Vivian, Cynthia and Lillian Nash.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 am, at St Joseph Melkite Greek Catholic Church with Rt Rev Archpriest Lawrence Gosselin.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Church with a Trisagion prayer service held at 7:30 pm.
