William was born on March 8, 1917 and passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011.
William was a resident of Kettering, Ohio at the time of his passing.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday. Burial to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
Bill Wittgruber, W8QDD, Kettering, Ohio, became a silent key last night.
He got his ham license in 1936 and was a radio operator during WW2. He was 94 years old. For many years he was a member of the QCWA (Quarter Century Wireless Association) and qualified for the 75 year award.
