Harold Robert (Bob) Hall, 93 of Barboursville, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010, at his home.
Bob was born in Charleston on October 12, 1916, to the late Wilbur W. and Pansy Bell Hall. He was a Methodist and was a retired salesman with Electronic Supply with 42 years of service. Bob was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Huntington V.F.W. Post #9738.
He was a life time Ham Radio Operator with the call letters W8QHG. Bob was also a member of the ARRL WV DXA and received the award for Top of the Honor Roll for contacting every country in the world.
Along with his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Blackhurst Hall; son, David Hall: and a brother, William Hall.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Bonnie Dunn of St. Albans; sister, Mildred Payne of Charleston; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; special friend, Evelyn Arthur; care giver, Pat Ramey, both of Huntington; and his special pet and companion, Miss Kitty.
A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Hall will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010, at the West Virginia Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens with the Rev. Eric Milam officiating. The burial will follow with military rites in the Memory Gardens.
His family and friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Mausoleum Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in Bobâs memory to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 Sixth Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701.
