Egon was born to Bruno and Mary Loeckel, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1923 with his parents and two brothers. He moved to Florida with his wife in 1979 and was a member of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral.
Egon was an avid amateur radio operator since 1939. He was a member of the Amateur Radio Relay League and served as historian for the Fort Meyers Radio Club.
While living in Ohio Egon, served as disaster coordinator for the American Red Cross. He was manager of Quality Control for White-Westinghouse, retiring in 1975, after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years Aggie; daughter Patricia (Raymond) Kvochick of Loundonville; sons, Richard (Michele) of Thornville and Thomas (Dianna) of Canton; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; his two brothers, Forrest (Prep) of Mansfield and Edward of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Edgar.
