Wesley E. "Wes" Marriner, 87, of Lutz, died Sunday (Jan. 23, 2000) in Tampa. Born in Franklin Grove, Ill., he came here in 1954 from Dixon, Ill. He was a retired highway engineer for the state of Illinois.
He was a past director and member of American Radio Relay League, Section 9; and the Old Old-Timers Ham Radio Club. He operated ham radios for 70 years with the call sign W9AND.
He was Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Esther; a daughter, Karen Anderson, Temple Terrace; a sister,Pauline Kerley, Dixon; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Blount, Curry & Roel Funeral Homes & Cemeteries, Garden of Memories Chapel, Tampa.
