Paul was born to Francoise "Francis or Frank" and Julia (Bertin) Lecocq. Paul married Louise Delassus on July 20, 1942, in Pana, Ill. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Army from Aug. 29, 1942, to Oct. 27, 1945, obtaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He served as a radar technician in the European Theatre in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe, and received four Bronze Battle Stars.
Paul worked for Caterpillar as a supervisor of purchasing, until his retirement in 1979.
He served on the Peoria County E.S.D.A. for more than 50 years.
Other survivors include one son, Daniel (Judith) Lecocq; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Kenneth) Rhude and Paul F. (Donna) Lecocq; three great-grandchildren, Marc Lecocq, Benjamin Lecocq and Alexandra Rhude; one daughter-in-law, Janis Lecocq; one sister-in-law, Germaine Scott; and one niece, Linda Scott.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Lecocq; two brothers; two sisters; and his parents.
