Age 90, passed away at Kaiser Hospital in Santa Rosa on August 15, 2013.

He was born in Chicago on October 2, 1922, a son of Nathan and Bess (Jacobson) Rosenthal.

He is survived by four sons, Bob, Richard (Joan), Steven (Barbara) and James Rosenthal; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Marco.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kaye; a son, Gary Baxter; and a brother, Irving Rosenthal.

Herbert served his country in the Army in North Africa during World War II.

He was a builder of high rise residential buildings, president of Dunbar Building, and was known as the 'Father of the Condominium'.

His interests included reading and ham radio.

Also known as "Papa" by many of his loved ones, he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A private family service will be held.
