I was first licensed in 1992 as N9PBA. Spending years enjoying vhf/uhf ssb, collecting many grid squares, contesting, some as a rover into the late 1990s. During the S.M.I.R.K contests on 6 meters. I have placed 1st for Wisconsin in 2008, 1999 (#6 worldwide) 1997, 1995, 1994 and then 1996. I was 1st in Michigan as a mobile. July 1995 brought VUCC on 6 meters. (271 grids and counting)
In 1998 I changed my call to W9NFL.
I have used the reciprical call DW7/W9NFL during my trips to Cebu, Philippines in 2005, 2006 and 2008. *** I will be visiting Cebu in 2017 under the call DU7/W9NFL ***
I worked as a flexographic printer for the same company for 37 years. May 21, 1979 to June 2, 2016. Now retired so I have been able to Join the local ARES, Racine Megacycle Club.

I have been very inactive until June 2016. My present equipment includes a Kenwood TR 751A all mode 2 meter mobile, Kenwood TS 480SAT HF+6 mobile, Yaesu FT 60R HT and a FT 950 HF+6, with a MFJ 935B Loop Tuner with 13ft of 3/b copper tubing for 20 meters.
