NORMAL, IL - Clifford C. "Chick" Horine, 94, of Normal, passed away at 8:45 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009 at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.
He was born July 22, 1915 in Bloomington, son of Harry and Hester Brumme Horine. He first married Lillian Johnston and later married Eleanor Mahan. On July 22, 1999 he married Maria Pforr. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Merri Jane Fraher of Danvers; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Eutis of Normal; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Mitch) Huffington of Lake Villa, Katie Fraher of Danvers, Scott (Beth) Horine of San Diego, CA, Jon Bradley (Tami) Horine of El Paso, James Breau Horine of Wasilla, AK and Brandy Horine of Bloomington; 11 great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter. Also surviving are foster children, Jerry Brooks, David Brooks and June Horine; three step-children; several step-grandchildren; many step great-grandchildren and his special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jon Randall Horine; one granddaughter, Randi Renee Horine; one brother and one sister.
Clifford first worked on the railroad and later at Eureka Williams in Bloomington. He then was the owner and operator of a television repair shop in Bloomington, but retired from Sonemag in Bloomington, where he worked on electronics repair.
