Laclare B. Boles Delavan, WI QCWA # 03010 |
Laclare B. Boles was born on June 24, 1907, in Iowa to Allen H. and Charity Boles. He was raised in Drakesville, Iowa, and graduated from Iowa State College in Ames in 1929. He soon obtained employment doing drafting and engineering at electrical manufacturing companies. By 1940, he had married his wife Laona and they were living in Chicago with their two children.
Boles and his family later moved to Delavan, Wisconsin, where he pursued his amateur radio activities, and also became very active in the adult leadership of the region´s Boy Scouts.
Boles passed away in Delavan on March 19, 1971. He and Laona are buried there in Spring Grove Cemetery.
