The family of Pauline Joyce (Fraser) Alley, age 82, sadly announces that she passed away on August 31, 2020 in Orlando, Florida. Pauline was born in her home on the Manor Road in St. George, New Brunswick, Canada, in September 1937. She graduated from Eastern Charlotte Regional School in 1955 and the New Brunswick Teacher's College, in 1956. While in high school, she was active in sports particularly basketball and softball. Pauline was also proud of her travels in Europe as a U.S. Military spouse, and starting her family during two years in Germany, before moving back to the United States. She will be remembered for her involvement in education, including teaching in Back Bay, New Brunswick, Principal of St. George Elementary School, as well as her volunteerism, coaching and substitute teaching at Pollard Elementary, and Timberlane Jr. and Senior High Schools in Plaistow, New Hampshire. Friends and relatives from Eastern Charlotte Regional School (ECRS) appreciated her organizing of annual reunions. In Florida, Pauline enjoyed many years as a business owner of a stamp and sign company. In addition, she had many hobbies which included Orlando Amateur Radio Club, where she served as Director for one year, the Quarter Century Wireless Association, gardening, sewing, photography, collecting vintage Jaguars, and watching her favorite basketball team, the Orlando Magic. She was predeceased by her parents, Florence and Everett Fraser, as well as her two brothers, Vance and Randall Fraser. Pauline is survived by her husband of 59 years, John M. Alley, her three children, Michelle Alley, Melanie Lexner, and Christopher Alley, four grandchildren, Jennifer Wolin, Jessica Ray, Brian Alley, and Brandon Alley, and one great-grandchild, Tigerlily Wolin. Due to the current pandemic, no memorial service has been scheduled. |
