Zigmund J. 'Ziggy' Porada Whiting, NJ QCWA # 20460 |
Zigmund "Ziggy" Porada, 93, of Westborough, MA, died peacefully in his sleep at home on August 3, 2011. He is survived by his nine children: Thomas Porada, of Westborough, MA, Joan Kral, Cecilia Kirsner and Dorothy Woodward, all of Florida, Margaret Smilek, Mary Woodward Thomas, Charles Woodward and Alan Woodward, all of New Jersey, Linda Seggel of Maryland; and many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his brother Edward Porada of Bayonne, NJ.
Ziggy survived two wives, Agnes Fedock Porada and Margaret Woodward Porada. He moved to Westborough in 2003 and is formerly of New Jersey. He was an active member of the Westborough Civic Club. Ziggy was an avid fisherman and a life-long ham radio operator, WA2ZWB.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough, MA Funeral services and burial are private.
