Beaver Falls - Richard Glenn Tanner, age 69, of Beaver Falls, passed away on the evening of Monday, December 21, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospice, from a prolonged illness of colon and pancreatic cancer. He was born March 1, 1951 in Beaver Falls, to the late Glenn and Angeline (Corsetti) Tanner. Once he graduated from Beaver Falls High School, he joined the Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict, returning after discharge to work at Armstrong Industries until his retirement. He was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church on Darlington Road in Beaver Falls and Triple "A" Amateur Radio Associates, Inc. An avid ham radio operator for many years, until his illness made it impossible for him to keep in touch with his world wide friends. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Tanner Shulman (Ray), London, UK; an aunt, Thelda, TX; and many cousins on both sides of the family who will miss him and his quiet demeanor. The family wishes to thank all the people who were there to help him during his illness. Special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice and the dedicated nurses and staff for all their kindness and help and the Cambridge Village staff and his friends and neighbors who were there when he needed them. There will be no public viewing or services at this time due to covid, but a memorial will be planned for a future date. Richard will be laid to rest alongside his mother and father in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made if desired to Good Samaritan Hospice, his church, or a charity of your choosing.
