M.R. "Mert" Mauldin, 83, resident of Hermitage Gardens, retired City employee for the City of Bartlett, and a 32nd degree Mason-Lodge 720 in Jonesboro, AR. He served his country as an employee of Consolidated Aircraft of San Diego, CA, and was a licensed amateur radio operator, died February 28, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 2 with funeral service to follow a 7 p.m. at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home. A second Visitation for Mr. Mauldin will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday March 3 at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home . McCrory, AR. Graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. in Fakes Chapel Cemetary. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freeda Cole Mauldin. He leaves two daughters, Joan Ray of Hernando and Andria Landen of Bluffton, SC, two sons, Bryan Mauldin of Kingman, AZ and Phillip Craig Mauldin of St. Augustine, FL; two sisters, Maudie Wells of Houston, TX and Bobbie Sue Parrish of Searcy, AR; one brother, Charles R.
