I was first licensed in February 1961 as WV6POZ in Covina California. Before the end of my first year I had updated and became WA6POZ, a call that I have held for the last 50 years. Besides WA6POZ in 1986 I held the call JY8GO. In February 1994 I upgraded to the Extra class license. I have been involved in local amateur radio clubs regardless of where I lived, California, Nebraska or Florida. In many of the clubs I served on various committees or on the Board. While in Nebraska I was the trustee for three radio clubs.

I am a Life member of both the ARRL and 10-10 International Net, Inc. For the ARRL, I have served as the Public Information Coordinator for the Nebraska Section and as a Volunteer Examiner. For 10-10 International I have served as the Treasurer, Data Manager, and President. Currently I am the Immediate Past President. I have been a member of QCWA for over 9 years and a member of Omaha Chapter 210.

While currently 'retired', my professional experience includes working in the Information Technology Departments for a college, a major financial institution and a financial services company, during which I held positions from Programmer, Manager to Consultant.
