Richard Neil Dresbach passed away October 26, 2011. Neil went peacefully home to the Lord after losing his 3RD bout with cancer. He was born in Groton, SD to parents, Richard and Augusta Dresbach in 1941.
Married to his best friend, Sonja for 48 yrs, they had 2 children, son- Mike, daughter- Kathy. 5 Grandchildren 4 Great grand- children: Brother-Steve, Sister-Rondi.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for 48 yrs, sang in the choir and helped with maintenance of the church.
He retired from Sears after 35 yrs as a Maintenance Engineer.
He was in the U.S. Air Force 4 yrs, serving in Reno, Phillipines, Thailand and Viet Nam. Member of VFW SD Post #39.
His interest for Ham Radio began at age 10. WA7KCD was his call. He helped with many Ham Radio organizations and did radio communications for MS events, Off Road Races, Special Olympics, Pony Express.
His second big interest was airplanes which took him to the Reno National Championship Air Races where he became a Pylon Judge for 33 yrs and was known as the "Golden Voice of the Air Races".
He had a great love for the Lord and witnessed that by helping others and touching many lives along the way. His smile, his wit and his quiet strength will be missed by many. I want to thank all of you for your prayers and your support. It has meant so much to both of us.
