MERCURIO, Philip Harry Age 85,of Dayton passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017, following a sudden illness.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalind Irene in May of 2016, his parents, Philip and Edith (Mazzolini) Mercurio and two sisters, Katherine Ragan and Anna Courtney. He is survived by two brothers, Michael and Joseph Mercurio; special nephew and friend, Charles Kelly and his close friend, Mary Bryson. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Philip was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired machinist, volunteered at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and was an avid ham radio operator.
Prayers will be said at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until the time of prayers on Saturday.
